Chapter 4. Index of documents 1986-1987

The following documents, listed chronologically, are presented in the next chapters:

—Documents preceding the foundation of the Mayakovsky Friends Club:

A. Charter of the New Creative Association (Устав Нового творческого объединения) with Vladislav Gutsevich as honorary chairman (почетный председатель), undated, problably written at the beginning of August 1986. See Document B.

B. Application (Заявление) by the New Creative Association (Новое творческое объединение) to the Main Department of Culture (Главное управление культуры, Г.У.К., Glavnoe upravlenie kul’tury, G.U.K.), dated 4. 8. 1986.

The letter, signed (in typescript) by seven artists, has Timur Novikov's address as sender. The signatories ask to include the New Creative Association in “the experiment to expand the sphere of paid services, according to the Law on amateur associations and interest clubs”.

C. Application by "a group of artists” to the Main Department of Culture dated 5. 8. 1986 for a group exhibition in 1987 (Заявление). The letter, signed (in typescript) by sixteen artists, has Timur Novikov's address as sender.

—Documents relating to the foundation of the Mayakovsky Friends Club:

D. Front page of the Mayakovsky Friends Club charter from 3 September 1986 (Положение о Клубе друзей В.В. Маяковского); the charter itself is missing.

E. Registration card for young associations (Учетная карточка молодежного объединения), filled in with Sergei Bugaev's data.

—Documents relating to the Club’s work:

F. Working plan for the period of 1986-1987, undated (План работы Клуба друзей Маяковского). Since it is a plan, it makes sense to date it to 1986.

G. Invitation card to an evening presenting amateur associations affiliated to the Vodokanal Club, 21 December 1986.

H. Timur Novikov's report about the first year of the Club‘s activities from 5 October 1987: two pages covering the period from September 1986 to September 1987 (Годовой отчет Клуба друзей В.В. Маяковского).
